Shepherd University Athletics

Played for the Ram football team from 1977-80, helping guide the team to a four-year record of 29-13 (.690), and two berths in the Coal Bowl.  Became the first offensive lineman at Shepherd to be named a First Team All-American in 1980, and was also a three-time First Team WVIAC All-Star as a center.  Charlie helped lead the way for Gregg Warfield and Wayne Wilson, the top two rushers in school history.  Continued to show his love of athletics as a football and basketball coach at the high school and college level.
