Box Score CALIFORNIA, Pa. – Marla Simmons scored a game-high 22 points to lead Bloomsburg to an 85-69 win over Shepherd University in semifinal action of the Atlantic Regional Tournament at Hamer Hall on Saturday.
Senior center
Gabby Flinchum (North Potomac, Md./Wootton) led the Rams with 20 points and seven rebounds. Flinchum hit on 6-of-13 shots with an 8-of-14 effort from the foul line.

Cara Mason (Monrovia, Md./Urbana), and freshman guard
Morgan Arden (Hanover, Pa./Spring Grove) each had nine points.

Alex Weakland (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) had eight points, seven rebounds, and two assists, while senior guard
Rachel Johnson (Frederick, Md./Frederick) added eight points, five boards, and two assists.
Morgan Klunk added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Huskies. Camden Boehner added 13 points, while Taylor Maldonado added 11 points and a game-high four assists.
Bloomsburg used a 14-2 run late in the first half to take a 20-point lead and had a 44-21 advantage at the break.
The Rams trailed by as many as 30 points in the second half and rallied to get to within 12 points at 77-65 after Flinchum hit a pair of free throws with 1:21 remaining. They would get no closer.
Shepherd shot 34.5 percent (19-55) from the floor with a 13.3 percent effort (3-13) from three-point range for the game. The Rams shot 69 percent (29-42) from the charity stripe.
Bloomsburg connected on 43.3 percent (26-60) from the floor with a 40 percent (8-20) performance from beyond the arc. The Huskies hit on 78.1 percent (25-32) of their free throws.
The Huskies had a 43-36 edge on the boards. The Rams forced 18 turnovers and committed 19.
Shepherd ends its season at 22-10, while Bloomsburg improves to 26-4. The Huskies advance to the regional finals on Monday at 7 p.m.
Notes: Shepherd did not allow an opponent to shoot 50 percent or better the entire season… Flinchum finished her career with 1,328 points to place fourth on the Shepherd all-time scoring list… her 701 career rebounds rank her ninth on the SU all-time list… Johnson capped of her career with 1,238 points to rank seventh on the all-time list… her 122 career three-pointers place her third in program history… her 50 three-pointers this season are the third most in a season at Shepherd.
