Biography

2016: Appeared in all 14 games.  Garnered All-MEC First Team honors as he recorded 64 tackles, including 40 solo. Led the team in tackles-for-loss with 23.5 (-102 yards); added 13.5 sacks (-80 yards), four forced fumbles, and five fumble recoveries for 88 yards.  Also posted two quarterback hits and a blocked kick.  Named MEC Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 7 following win over Fairmont State.  Earned D2CCA All-Super Region 1 First Team, CoSIDA Academic All-District and All-America accolades. Named to Don Hansen's Football Gazette All Super Region 1 First Team Defense ...  earned 2016 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Third Team honors ... named Outstanding Student in Sport Communication and Outstanding Male Student-Athlete.

2015: Appeared in 14 games with 12 starts. Gained first team All-MEC honors as he recorded 50 tackles (38 solo) with 12.0 tackles-for-loss (-51 yards) and 5.0 sacks (-21 yards). Added two pass breakups, a forced fumble, and a blocked kick.
 
2014: Appeared in nine games with eight starts. Gained Second Team All-MEC honors as he recorded 27 tackles (15 solo) with a team-bests of 13 tackles-for-loss (-69 yards) and 8.5 sacks (-55 yards).

2013: Redshirted.

Personal: The son of Michael and Rhonda Humphrey. A 2013 graduate of Dr. Henry A. Wise HS, Humphrey is majoring in sport marketing.
