Biography

2016: Appeared and started in 13 games.  Garnered First Team All-MEC honors, completing 251-of-385 pass attempts for 3,627 yards and 32 touchdowns, averaging 279 passing yards per game.  He also rushed 90 times for 310 yards and five touchdowns and had two catches for 25 yards.  Named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 First Team and also a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy.  MEC Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 10 following the win over Glenville where he completed 27 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns, taking first place in Shepherd records of touchdown passes with 69, he finishes with 87 career passing touchdowns.  Threw a new career-high 375 yards against LIU-Post. Named to Don Hansen's Football Gazette All Super Region 1 First Team Offense. D2football.com All-America honorable mention. 2016 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Third Team selection.

2015: Appeared and started in all 14 games. Earned First Team All-MEC and MEC Offensive Player of the Year honors as he completed 235-of-373 passes for 3,414 yards and 30 touchdowns. Named Don Hansen's Football Gazette NCAA II Super Region One Co-Offensive Player of the Year and also garnered AP Little All-American accolades. Gained All-Region honors from Don Hansen's Football Gazette (first team) and D2CCA (second team). Threw for a career-high 374 yards against Concord. His 28 completions and five touchdown passes against Urbana were career high efforts. Finished seventh in the Harlon Hill award balloting.

2014: Appeared and started in all 10 games. Earned Second Team All-MEC honors as he completed 162-of-247 passes for 2,248 yards and 18 touchdowns. Set Shepherd single game mark by completing 14-of-14 passes for 262 yards in a win over Fairmont State. Tossed a season-high four touchdown passes against UVa-Wise. Established season-highs with a 22-of-37 performance for 310 yards in season finale against Concord.
 
2013: Appeared in 11 games with six starts. Completed 104-of-167 passes for 1,133 yards and seven touchdowns. Earned MEC Offensive Player of the Week honors after completing 13-of-14 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-33 win over Concord in the regular season finale to clinch the MEC title.

2012: Redshirted.
 
Personal: The son of Jeff and Kimberly Ziemba. A 2012 graduate of St. Mark's HS, Ziemba is majoring in recreation/leisure studies.
