2014: Appeared and started in 10 games. Earned First Team All-MEC Honors as he recorded 43 tackles (29 solo) with nine tackles-for-loss and a sack. Forced a team-high three fumbles. Added three pass breakups. Garnered First Team All-Super Region One honors from Don Hansen's Football Gazette and Second Team All-Region honors from Daktronics  and BSN. Also named to Honorable Mention Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-America team.


2013: Appeared in 12 games with 11 starts. Earned First Team All-MEC honors as he recorded 54 tackles (37 solo) with four tackles-for-loss. He added eight pass breakups and a pair of interceptions. Named MEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week after his 89-yard fumble return for a touchdown sealed a 27-7 win over Fairmont State. Gained Second Team All-Super Region One honors from Daktronics and Don Hansen's Football Gazette.
 

2012: Appeared in seven games with six starts. Earned Second Team All-WVIAC honors as he recorded 20 tackles (eight solo) with three tackles-for-loss (-17 yards) and a sack (-13 yards). Added four pass breakups, an interception, and a forced fumble.
 

2011: Played in nine games. Recorded 16 tackles (10 solo). Returned a blocked punt 33 yards for a touchdown against West Virginia State. 
 

2010: Redshirted.
 

Personal: The son of Floyd and Sharon Barber. A 2010 graduate of Edison HS, Barber is majoring in business administration.
