Biography

2016: Appeared in all 14 games.  Earned All-MEC Second Team accolades as a return specialist, returning 28 kickoffs for 764 yards, (27.29 avg.) and two punt returns for nine yards.  Named MEC Special Teams Player of the Week for Nov. 14 following his performance in the regular season finale, with two kickoff returns for 96 yards and a touchdown reception.  Second on the team in receiving yards, with 69 catches for 1,235 yards and nine touchdown receptions. Reached the No. 1 spot in the program's record for career combined return yards with 3,437. 

2015: Appeared in 14 games and started in 10. Gained first team All-MEC honors as a return specialist. He returned 27 kickoffs for 823 yards (30.5 avg.) and added 19 punt returns for 210 yards (11.1 avg.). Recorded 61 tackles (53 solo) and led the team with 16 pass breakups. Added a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery. Named MEC Special Teams Player of the Week for Sept. 14 after returning a kickoff 96 yards for a score in a win over Charleston. Also named MEC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week for Oct. 19 when he had four kick returns for 195 yards (48.8 avg.). Gained honorable mention Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-America honors.
His 1,033 combined kick return yards are most in a season in program history.
 
2014: Appeared and started in all 10 games. Gained first team All-MEC honors as he recorded 38 tackles (30 solo with two tackles-for-loss (-6 yards). Led the team with 12 pass breakups and five interceptions. Had 22 punt returns for 287 yards (13.0 average) and a touchdown. Added 16 kickoff returns for 357 yards (22.3 average) and a touchdown.
 
2013: Appeared in 12 games. Gained first team All-MEC honors as he led NCAA II in punt returns with a 24.9 average. A first team Daktronics All-American selection. Did not become a starting return specialist until the fifth game of the season. Scored a touchdown on his first career punt return when he recovered his fumble in the end zone after a 60-yard return.
 
2012: Redshirted.

Personal: The son of Carlton and Karen Davis. A 2012 graduate of South Hagerstown HS, Davis is majoring in recreation/leisure studies. Played for former Ram Toby Peer at South Hagerstown. His cousin, Rodney Monroe, was as standout shooting guard at NC State.
