SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University head football coach Monte Cater announced today that 12 student-athletes have signed letters-of-intent to play football for the Rams in 2008. Among the group are six from Maryland, five from Virginia, and one from Pennsylvania.

Joseph Danaker (Germantown, MD/Northwest), an offensive lineman, lettered in football, wrestling, and ice hockey at Northwest. Danaker gained second team All-County honors from the Washington Post.

Kevin Dickerson (Temple Hills, MD/Forestville Military Academy), a quarterback, lettered four years in football and two in basketball at Forestville Military Academy. Dickerson was a two-time small school All-State selection. He passed for 2,888 yards as a junior and added 1,800 passing yards and 800 rushing yards with 33 total touchdowns in his senior year.

Chad Dixon (Watsontown, PA/Warrior Run), a wide receiver, lettered in track, football, and basketball at Warrior Run. Dixon earned All-League and All-District honors as a wide receiver/defensive back from 2005-07. He was a District IV champion in the 200 and 400 meters.

William Gravely (Roanoke, VA/William Fleming), a defensive tackle, lettered in football, basketball and baseball at William Fleming where he played football for former Ram Toby Peer. Gravely was an All-State and All-Region selection. He is a transfer rom St. Paul's.

Michael Johnson (Indian Head, MD/Lackey), a running back, was a four-year letterwinner in football at Lackey. A member of the 2007 SMAC champion team, Johnson earned All-SMAC and Team MVP honors.

Howard Jones (Woodbridge, VA/Freedom), a wide receiver/outside linebacker, lettered in football and basketball at Freedom. A first team All-District honoree, Jones had 27 catches for 568 yards and five touchdowns. He added seven sacks and four forced fumbles on defense.

Leons Kabongo (Woodbridge, VA/Gar-Field), a linebacker, was the Cardinal District Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. A
converted defensive back, Kabongo also gained second team All-State and first team All-District accolades.

Stefan Mitchell (Manchester, MD/North Carroll), a quarterback, was a three-year letterwinner in football and track at North Carroll. A two-time honorable mention All State selection, Mitchell completed 91-181 passes for 1,952 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior.

Keon Robinson (Fairfax Station, VA/Lake Braddock), a wide receiver/return specialist, lettered in football, track, and lacrosse
at Lake Braddock. Robinson was an All-State and All-Met selection.

Kiero Small (Baltimore, MD/Cardinal Gibbons/Valley Forge Military Academy), a linebacker, lettered in football and track at Cardinal Gibbons. Small earned All-State and Super 22 Team accolades.

Anthony Weisenmiller (Cumberland, MD/Fort Hill), a tight end, lettered in football and basketball at Fort Hill. He played football
for former Ram Barry Lattimer. A two-time second team All-State selection, Weisenmiller earned Defensive Player of the Year honors as a junior.

Justin White (Glen Allen, VA/Hermitage), a running back, was a second team All-State selection at Hermitage. White rushed for over 1,500 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also had 28 catches for over 300 yards
and four scores.
