SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Augusto Maciel scored three goals to lead Charleston to a 4-0 win over Shepherd University in MEC men's soccer action at the Shepherd Soccer Complex on Saturday.
Charleston had a 24-11 advantage in shots and an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) had nine saves for the Rams, while Fabian Veit recorded four saves for the Golden Eagles.
Shepherd falls to 2-9-1, 0-7-1, while Charleston improves to 8-3-1, 6-1-1. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a 5 p.m. contest.
