URBANA, Ohio – Urbana handed Shepherd University a 2-0 setback in MEC men's soccer action at Urbana on Sunday.
The Blue Knights took a 1-0 lead when Tyler Wason scored on a pass from Ed Willoughby at the 24:18 mark.
Mike McFarlane added a goal on a feed from Jamie Burridge at the 34:50 mark to complete the scoring.
Urbana had a 19-10 advantage in shots, while Shepherd held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) recorded eight saves for the Rams, while Nathan Jones had three saves for the Blue Knights.
Shepherd falls to 2-13-1, 0-11-1, while Urbana improves to 7-4-4, 6-2-3. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Bloomsburg for a 2 p.m. contest.
