Urbana Rallies Past Shepherd Men's Soccer

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Tyler Wason scored a pair of goals to help lead Urbana to a 3-2 win over Shepherd University in MEC men's soccer action at the Shepherd Soccer Complex on Saturday.
Shepherd took a 1-0 lead when scored on penalty kick by freshman defender Chris Mashinski (LaPlata, MD/North Point) at the 12:10 mark.
Junior midfielder Fernand Feukeu (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) scored on a pass from junior defender Max Psillas (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) at the 20:36 mark.
Wasson scored a pair of unassisted second half goals to tie the game. Ben Fitzpatrick scored on a feed from Lewis Dunne at the 79:09 mark to give the Blue Knights the win.
Urbana had a 16-14 advantage in shots and a 13-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) had six saves for the Rams, while Nathan Jones recorded six saves for the Vulcans.
Shepherd falls to 2-7-1, 0-5-1, while Urbana improves to 4-3-2, 3-2-1. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Concord for a 4 p.m. contest.
