ATHENS, W.Va. – Ryan Forde scored a pair of goals to lead Concord to a 2-0 win over Shepherd University in MEC men's soccer action at Concord on Wednesday.
Concord took a 1-0 lead at the 48:01 mark when Ryan Forde scored on assists from Alex Williams and Cameron Russell.
Forde added another goal at the 74:34 mark on a pass from Kris Robins.
Concord had a 13-7 advantage in shots while Shepherd had an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) had seven saves for the Rams, while Mitchell Thompson recorded three saves for the Mountain Lions.
Shepherd falls to 2-8-1, 0-6-1, while Concord improves to 3-7-1, 1-5-1. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Charleston for a 3 p.m. contest.
