SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Ashleigh Fossett scored 24 points and Kenyell Goodson added 19 to lead #25 Glenville State to a 130-77 win over Shepherd University in MEC women's basketball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.
Junior forward Liz Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York) contributed eight points and 10 rebounds.
Jessica Parsons added nine points and 10 assists for the Lady Pioneers.
The Rams shot 46.8 percent (29-62) from the floor, 20 percent (2-10) from three-point range, and 70.8 percent (17-24) from the line.
The Lady Pioneers hit at 41.6 percent (47-102) from the floor, 36.5 percent (19-52) from beyond the arc, and 56.7 percent (17-30) from the charity stripe.
Rebounding was even at 50-50. Shepherd forced 14 turnovers and committed 45.
Shepherd falls to 0-4, 0-1 in MEC play, while #25 Glenville State improves to 3-1, 1-0. The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 5:30 p.m. contest
