Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University dropped a 2-0 decision to Wheeling Jesuit in MEC men's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday.

Wheeling Jesuit took a 1-0 lead when Trey Tucker scored on an assist from Luke Roan at the 21:03 mark.

The Cardinals added an insurance goal at the 29:40 mark when Vincent Faraji scored on assists from Sean Murphy and Aitor Iniguez De Heredia.

Junior goalkeeper Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) recorded five saves for the Rams, while Cody Thompson had a pair of saves for the Cardinals.

Wheeling Jesuit had a 14-11 advantage in shots and Shepherd held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

Shepherd falls to 6-6-1, 3-6-0 in conference play, while Wheeling Jesuit improves to 6-5-2, 4-4-1. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Notre Dame College for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
