Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Josh Spencer scored on a corner kick from Jens Demul at the 54:13 mark to lead West Virginia Wesleyan to a 1-0 win over Shepherd University in MEC men's soccer action at West Virginia Wesleyan in a late Tuesday evening contest.

Junior goalkeeper Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) recorded eight saves for the Rams, while  Luka Pauk had one save for the Bobcats.

West Virginia Wesleyan had a 24-6 advantage in shots and led in corner kicks, 11-2.

Shepherd falls to 6-8-1, 3-8-0 in conference play, while West Virginia Wesleyan improves to 7-4-1, 5-3-2. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Urbana for Senior Day at 3 p.m.
