Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio  –  Shepherd University dropped a 3-0 decision to Notre Dame College in Mountain East Conference volleyball action at Notre Dame on Friday night. The Falcons recorded a 25-23, 25-20, 25-14 victory.

Freshman right side/setter Kayleigh Helgesen (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino)  had seven kills to pace the Rams. Senior middle hitter Kayla Motheral (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) added six, while junior outside hitter Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman)  had five.

Senior setter Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) had 23 assists and junior outside hitter/libero Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) contributed  15 digs and three aces.

Kristen Hill had four kills and four blocks to lead the Falcons.

Shepherd falls to 15-8, 8-3 in MEC action, while Notre Dame improves to 6-15, 4-7.  The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Urbana for a 1 p.m. match.
