Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Senior defender Kelsey N. Smith (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) scored on a free kick at the 72:05 mark to lift Shepherd University to a 1-0 win over Urbana on Senior Day in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.

Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Mueller (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) did not record a save in a shutout effort for the Rams, while Taylor Gianangelli had eight saves for the Blue Knights.

Shepherd had a 23-3 advantage in shots while Urbana had a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

Shepherd improves to 9-7-1 overall, 7-6-0 in MEC play, while Urbana falls to 2-10-3, 1-9-3. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to West Liberty for a 2:30 contest.
