Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va.  –  Shepherd University rallied past West Liberty for a 3-2 victory in MEC volleyball action at West Liberty on Friday night.  The Rams recorded a 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 25-10, 15-12 triumph.

Senior opposite/outside hitter Valerie Bour (Willoughby Hills, Ohio/Willoughby South), senior setter Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg),  and junior outside hitter Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) each posted double-doubles for the Rams.  Bour had 15 kills and 26 digs, Belella had 57 assists and 13 digs, while Allen added 16 kills and 28 digs.

Junior outside hitter/libero Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) had a team-high 23 digs and three aces, while freshman libero/defensive specialist Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) contributed 14 digs.

Freshman opposite Kayleigh Helgesen (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino ) recorded 15 kills and had a match-best .342 attack percentage.

Megan Lawless had 11 kills, 20 assists, and 12 digs to lead the Hilltoppers.

Shepherd improves to 11-5, 5-1 in MEC play, while West Liberty falls to 5-11, 3-2.  The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit to face Wheeling Jesuit at 1 p.m. and Alderson-Broaddus at 3 p.m .
