Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –  Goldey-Beacom recorded a 2-0 win over Shepherd University in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Thursday.

The Lightning took a 1-0 lead into the break as Luiz Ristow scored on an assist from Mateus Silvestre at the 43:13 mark.

Goldey-Beacom added an insurance goal in the game's final minute as Fernando Sanchez scored on a feed from Omar Hernandez.

Junior goalkeeper Alex Aleshire (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) recorded eight saves for the Rams, while Marcus Arvidsson had one save for the Lightning.

Goldey-Beacom had a 29-5 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

Shepherd completes its season at 6-11-1, while Goldey-Beacom improves to 9-9-0.
