Box Score 2 WHEELING, W.Va. – Shepherd University went 1-1 on the day in volleyball action at Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday. The Rams dropped a 3-0 decision (25-20, 25-15, 25-18) to sixth-ranked Wheeling Jesuit in an early match and posted a 3-0 win (25-15, 25-20, 25-21) over Alderson-Broaddus in a later match.

Kayleigh Helgesen (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino) had nine kills and junior outside hitter
Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) posted 11 digs against Wheeling Jesuit.
Emma Schleucher had 13 kills and Kayce Krucki added 11 kills and 10 digs to lead Wheeling Jesuit.
Senior opposite/outside hitter
Valerie Bour (Willoughby Hills, Ohio/Willoughby South) had 11 kills and 10 digs to lead the Rams against the Battlers. Helgesen and senior middle hitter
Katie Beecher (Concord, NC./Concord/Liberty) each added eight kills.

Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) had 31 assists and seven digs and junior outside hitter/libero
Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) contributed 10 digs.
Caitlin Cain had nine kills and seven digs to lead the Battlers.
Shepherd moves to 12-6, 5-2 in MEC play. The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to West Virginia State for a 7 p.m. match.
