Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –  Sophomore forward Liz Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York) scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds  and sophomore guard Cara Mason (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) added 16 points to lead Shepherd University to a 74-65 win over Saint Augustine's in women's basketball action at the Winston-Salem State Tournament on Saturday. First-year head coach Jenna Eckleberry was successful in her debut at Shepherd.

Myers hit on 7-of-16 shots from the floor with a 4-of-4 effort from the foul line. She added three assists, two blocks, and two steals.

Senior guard Alex Weakland (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Senior guard Rachel Johnson (Frederick, Md./Frederick) tossed in 11 points.

Portia Walton had 16 points and Terri Jacobs had nine points and 13 rebounds for Saint Augustine's.

Shepherd begins the season at 1-0, while St. Augustine's falls to 0-1. The Rams return to action on Sunday when they face host Winston-Salem State for a 4 p.m. contest.
