Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Shepherd University Women's basketball team matched their win total from last season with a 75-59 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan College in the Butcher Center, Monday night.
 The Rams had 4 players in double digits in scoring with nine players logging 15 or more minutes in the contest. Senior,
Alex Weakland (Camp Hill, PA/Cumberland Valley) knocked down five of her six three-pointers in the first half and led the Rams with 19 points. Freshman,
Morgan Arden (Hanover, PA/Spring Grove) tallied 18 points with 16 coming via lay-up. Senior,
Briana Vaden (Stockton, CA/McNair H.S./San Joaquin Delta College) added 13 points and Junior,
Kristina Prange (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) was the fourth Ram in double figures with 10.
Sophomore,
Liz Myers (York, PA/Eastern York) led the Rams with 13 Rebounds and had four steals. Sophomore,
Cara Mason (Monrovia, MD/Urbana) topped the Rams with six steals and five assists.
West Virginia Wesleyan had two in double figures. Junior, Lauren Graham (Bessemer City, NC) had 14 including six from behind the arc and Junior, Allie Browne (Hurricane, WV) had 11 total, nine of which came on threes.
Shepherd shot 40 percent (28-70) for the game and 43.5 percent (10-23) from beyond the arc. The Rams nearly fell below their shooting percentages from the floor with a 47.4 percentage (9-19) from the free throw line. The Bobcats shot 33 percent (21-63) from the floor and from three point range (7-21). After going 0-4 in the first half from the free throw line they recovered in the second half to shoot 58.8 percent  (10-17) for the game.
West Virginia Wesleyan topped the battle of the boards 47-45.
Shepherd improves to 4-0 and 2-0 in the Mountain East Conference. The four wins to start the season is the first time the team has hit that mark since the 1999-2000 team coached by Shepherd Hall of Famer Betsy Blose. The back to back conference wins to start the season was last accomplished in 2006-07.
West Virginia Wesleyan falls to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the Mountain East Conference.
The Rams are next on the court Wednesday in an Atlantic Region contest at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Tip off time is set for 11:00 AM in Indiana, PA.
