FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Brianna Innocent had 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Hailey Garrett added 25 points to lead Fairmont State to a 103-80 win over Shepherd University in MEC women's basketball action at Fairmont State on Saturday.

Liz Myers (York, Pa./Eastern York) scored a career-high 17 points to pace the Rams. She connected on 7-of-7 field goals with a 3-of-5 effort from the foul line.

Deidre Combs added 16 points and Hallie Gunnoe had 14 for the Falcons.
The Rams shot 42.5 percent (31-73) from the floor for the game, 11.1 percent (1-9) from three-point range, and 68 percent (17-25) from the line.
Fairmont State connected at 59.4 percent (41-69) from the floor, 33.3 percent (4-12) from beyond the arc, and 73.9 percent (17-23) from the charity stripe.
The Falcons had a 41-34 advantage in rebounds. The Rams forced 23 turnovers and committed 18.
Shepherd falls to 4-22, 4-18 in MEC action, while Fairmont State improves to 17-9, 14-8. The 11th-seeded Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to face sixth-seeded Urbana (17-9, 14-8) in first round action of the Mountain East Conference Tournament at 7 p.m.
