Ferrara Reaches 200-Point Mark; Shepherd Women's Lacrosse Downs UDC

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.  –  Senior midfielder Christina Ferrara (California, MD/Leonardtown) scored three goals and added four assists, while junior attacker Georgia Karr (Eldersburg, MD/Liberty) and sophomore attacker Hunter Morris (Severna Park, MD/Severn School) each scored four goals to lead Shepherd University to a 24-4 win over UDC in women's lacrosse action on Senior Day at Ram Stadium on Saturday. Ferrara (201) went over 200 points for her career.

Karr also added a pair of assists for the Rams. Junior attacker/midfielder Kelsey Eagan (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) netted three goals, while sophomore midfielder Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) added two goals and an assist.

Senior midfielder Jenny Cavey (Sykesville, Md/Westminster), senior attacker Hanna Wharton (Ijamsville, MD/Urbana), sophomore defender Taylor Hicks (Baltimore, Md./Mercy), sophomore midfielder/attacker Theresa Lang (Severn, Md./Archbsihop Spalding), freshman midfielder Courtney Schwiegerath (Frederick, Md./Oakdale), freshman attacker Alex Green (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro), freshman midfielder Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty), and freshman attacker Kiana Miller (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) each recorded single tallies.

Tiara Goode, Jazmin Lopez, Snezana Blagojevic, and Lana Oudat each scored for the Firebirds. Tara Usko added an assist.

Junior netminder Lily Schmulowitz (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) recorded one save for the Rams, while Dani Falco had 10 saves for the Firebirds.

Shepherd had a 37-8 advantage in shots. The Rams held a 20-9 edge in draw controls and a 26-15 edge in ground balls.

Shepherd completes its season at 10-6, while UDC drops to 0-9.
