Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University dropped a 2-0 decision to University of Charleston in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Sunday afternoon.
Charleston took a 1-0 lead into the break as LyndseyThompson scored on an assists from Holly Bigg at the the 19:27 mark.
The Golden Eagles added a second half tally as Bigg scored on a feed from Lindsey Henderson at the 57:18 mark.
Sophomore
Anna Mueller (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) had eight saves in goal for the Rams. Zoe Zyta posted four saves for the Golden Eagles.
Charleston had a 19-13 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
Shepherd moves to 2-2-1, 0-1-0 in MEC play, while Charleston improves to 2-1-1, 1-0-0. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Concord for a 2 p.m. contest.
