Kelsey J. Smith (York, Pa./Central York) scored an unassisted goal at the 38:19 mark to lift Shepherd University to a 2-1 win over Wheeling Jesuit in MEC women's soccer action at Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday afternoon.
Wheeling Jesuit took a 1-0 lead when Aubrey Hutchinson scored on an assist from Allison Geary at the 21:44 mark.

Anna Mueller (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) had two saves in goal for the Rams. Holly Kraus posted seven saves for the Cardinals.
Shepherd had an 18-5 advantage in shots and a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Shepherd improves to 3-3-1, 1-2-0 in MEC play, while Wheeling Jesuit falls to 0-3-2, 0-2-1. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host West Virginia Wesleyan for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
