Shepherd Women's Soccer Edged by West Virginia Wesleyan

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Keenan Moreta scored on an assist from Megan McCoy at the 7:37 mark to lift West Virginia Wesleyan to a 1-0 win over Shepherd University in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore Anna Mueller (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) had six saves in goal for the Rams.  Lauren Duncan posted six saves for the Bobcats.

Shepherd had a 16-13 advantage in shots and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.

Shepherd falls to 3-4-1, 1-3-0 in MEC play, while West Virginia Wesleyan improves to 5-0-1, 3-0-1. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Notre Dame College for a 10 a.m. contest.
