Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.  –  Shepherd University handed Notre Dame College a 3-0 setback in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday. The Rams gained a 25-15, 25-13, 25-19 victory. Shepherd has won five of its last six contests.

Junior outside hitter/opposite Anna Roper (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Huntingtown) had 10 kills and senior middle hitter Kayla Motheral (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) had nine kills and seven blocks to lead the Rams.

Senior opposite/outside hitter Valerie Bour (Willoughby Hills, Ohio/Willoughby South) had seven kills and 10 digs, while senior setter Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) added 35 assists and five digs. Junior outside hitter/libero  Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) contributed a match-high 14 digs.

Lindsay Shirilla had five kills and Ryan Moriarty added seven digs to lead the Falcons.

Shepherd improves to to 9-5, 3-1 in MEC play, while Notre Dame falls to 4-10, 2-2.  The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Fairmont State for a 7 p.m. match.
