Box Score 2 SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University handed host Pfieffer a 3-1 defeat in second day action of the Pfeiffer Tournament on Friday. The Rams gained a 25-15, 21-25, 25-15, 25-19 triumph. The win was the first for Shepherd head coach
Camilo Guerci. The Rams added a 3-0 win over Slippery Rock in a later match.

Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) had 11 kills and eight digs and senior right side
Valerie Bour (Willoughby Hills, Ohio/Willoughby South) added nine kills and nine digs for the Rams against Pfeiffer. Freshman right side/setter
Kayleigh Helgesen (Oceanside, Calif./El Camino ) added eight kills, while junior outside hitter
Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield, Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) had match-highs of 16 digs and four aces.
Senior middle hitter
Kayla Motheral (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) added nine kills and a pair of digs, while senior setter
Taylor Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Smithsburg) contributed 37 assists and six kills.
Kelly Lancellot had 10 kills to lead Pfeiffer.
Allen and Bour each had eight kills and 13 digs to lead the Rams against Slippery Rock. Belella had 35 assists.
Shepherd moves to 2-1, Pfeiffer falls to 0-2, while Slippery Rock falls to 2-1.The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Indiana (Pa.) for a 5:30 p.m. match in the home opener.
