Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Notre Dame College recorded a 2-0 win over Shepherd University in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Thursday afternoon.

Shepherd falls to 6-6-2 overall, 5-5-2 in conference action, while Notre Dame improves to 9-3-1, 8-2-1.

The Falcons took a 1-0 lead into the break behind a goal by Jillian Doss on an assist from Maranda Melton at the 0:42 mark.

Notre Dame added an insurance goal when Lytia Hart on a feed from Melton at the 81:24 mark.

Redshirt-freshman netminder Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Campbell) (5) and freshman goalkeeper Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) (2) combined for seven saves for the Rams. Samantha Shoemaker (3) and Louisa Rygh (0) teamed for  three saves for the Falcons.
 
Notre Dame had an 18-7 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to Wheeling Jesuit for a 3:30 p.m. match.
