Shepherd Men's Soccer Downed by Wheeling Jesuit

Box Score WHEELING, W.Va. – Jordan Frommeyer scored four goals and assisted on another to lead Wheeling Jesuit to a 7-1 win over Shepherd University in MEC men's soccer action at Wheeling Jesuit on Sunday.

Shepherd drops to 2-11-0, 1-8-0 in conference play, while Wheeling Jesuit improves to 7-6-1, 5-4-0.

Wheeling Jesuit got a pair of goals from Aitor de Heredia and a single tally by Daniel Undreiner.

Shepherd scored at the 36:11 mark when sophomore midfielder Kevin Bonanno (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) on a header off a corner kick from sophomore midfielder/forward Myles Newhouse (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington).

Sophomore goalkeeper Dmitre Snowdy (Waldorf, Md./North Point) recorded three saves for the Rams, while Mathew McCormick (4) and Tyler Shotwell (0) combined for four saves for the Cardinals.

Wheeling Jesuit had a 23-8 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 5 p.m. game.
