Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Shepherd University dropped a 3-0 decision to West Virginia Wesleyan in MEC men's soccer action at West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday.
Shepherd drops to 2-12-0, 1-9-0 in conference play, while West Virginia Wesleyan improves to 7-7-1, 5-6-0.
The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead when Pavle Milicevic scored on an assist from Paul Smith at the 8:31 mark.
Wesleyan took a 2-0 lead into intermission as Tre Talaferro scored an unassisted goal at the 35:58 mark.
Jordan Halpern scored an unassisted tally at the 63:38 mark to complete the scoring.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Dmitre Snowdy (Waldorf, Md./North Point) recorded seven saves for the Rams, while Luka Pauk had two saves for the Bobcats.
West Virginia Wesleyan had a 16-6 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host University of Charleston for a 2:30 p.m. game.
