Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Courtney Underwood scored on an assist from Hannah Myers at the 76:57 mark to lift University of Charleston to a 1-0 win over Shepherd in MEC women's soccer action at Charleston on Saturday.

Shepherd falls to 4-4-2 overall, 3-3-2 in conference action, while Charleston improves to 6-1-3, 5-1-2.

Redshirt-freshman netminder Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Campbell) (6) and freshman goalkeeper Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) (2) combined for eight saves for the Rams. Zoe Zyta had two saves for the Golden Eagles.

Charleston had a 17-2 advantage in shots, while Shepherd had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to West Liberty for a  2:30 p.m. match.
