Shepherd Women's Soccer Ties West Virginia Wesleyan; Wesleyan Advances on Penalty Kicks

Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Shepherd University battled to a scoreless tie with 11th-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan in MEC Women's Soccer Tournament action at Wesleyan on Thursday. The Bobcats advanced on penalty kicks.

Shepherd completes its season at 7-7-5 overall, while West Virginia Wesleyan moves to 16-0-3.

Redshirt-freshman netminder Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Campbell) (7) and freshman goalkeeper Christi Labella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) (3) combined for 10 saves for the Rams. Hillary DeWitt recorded one save for the Bobcats.
 
West Virginia Wesleyan had a 26-1 edge in shots and an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

West Virginia Wesleyan advances to the tournament finals on Sunday.
