WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. – Shepherd University swept Bluefield College and later dropped a pair of matches to Bluefield State College in tennis action at the Greenbrier Resort on Sunday. The men's team posted a 5-4 win over Bluefield College, while the women's squad took a 6-2 victory. Bluefield State gained a 6-0 win in men's action and a 7-0 victory in women's play.

Senior Steven Lesko (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) posted a 6-1, 4-7, 11-9 win at number three singles and teamed with senior Steve Kolumban (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) for a 9-8 victory at number two doubles in the win over Bluefield College.

Freshman Molly Lovern (Bluefield, W.Va./Bluefield) had a 7-5, 6-3 win at number two singles and teamed with senior Katelyn Mumaw (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) for a 9-7 victory at number one doubles in the win over Bluefield College.

The Shepherd men move to 1-4 on the year, while the women are now 4-10.
