Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) had six goals and an assist to lead Shepherd University to a 14-10 win over Slippery Rock in women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Saturday.

Kaytlin Callaghan had four goals and an assist to lead Slippery Rock. Caitlynn Pallandino and Paige Costantino each added a pair of goals for The Rock.
Slippery Rock closed the first half on a 6-1 run to take an 8-7 lead into the break. Costantino and Callaghan each had a pair of goals during the run.
Shepherd outscored Slippery Rock, 7-2, in the second half to pull away for the win.
Junior goalkeeper
Savannah Shores (Trappe, Md./Easton) recorded 11 saves for the Rams, while Jordan Wagner had four saves for The Rock.
Slippery Rock had a 28-19 edge in shots, while ground balls were even at 25-all. The Rock had a 14-12 edge in draw controls. Shepherd was 17-25 in clears, while Slippery Rock was 12-15.
Shepherd improves to 2-2, while Slippery Rock falls to 1-2. The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to Virginia Commonwealth University for a 2 p.m. contest.
