RICHMOND, Va. – Senior attacker Georgia Karr (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) scored with 2:43 remaining to lift Shepherd University to a 19-18 win over Virginia Commonwealth University in exhibition women's lacrosse action at VCU on Monday.

Junior midfielder Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin), who led the Rams with four goals, tied the game at 18-18 with a goal with 4:13 left.

Karr, senior attacker/midfielder Kelsey Eagan (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point), junior attacker Hunter Morris (Severna Park, Md./Severn School), sophomore midfielder Courtney Schwiegerath (Frederick, Md./Oakdale),  and sophomore midfielder Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) each tallied three goals.

Shepherd trailed, 11-9, at halftime.

Junior goalkeeper Savannah Shores (Trappe, Md./Easton) recorded 14 saves for the Rams,

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Shorter University for a 7 p.m. contest.
