Shepherd Women's Lacrosse Falls to #19 Seton Hill

Box Score GREENSBURG, Pa. –  Emily Fagan scored five goals and Emma Simmers added four goals and two assists to lead  #19 Seton Hill to an 18-6 win over Shepherd University in women's lacrosse action at Seton Hill on Monday.

Junior midfielder Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) scored three goals to lead the Rams. She also added three ground balls and a team-high three draw controls.

Senior attacker/midfielder Kelsey Eagan (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point), junior attacker Hunter Morris (Severna Park, Md./Severn School), and sophomore attacker Alex Green (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) each added single goals.
 
Senior attacker Georgia Karr (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) contributed the lone assist.

Keegan Pontious added three goals for the Griffins.

Junior goalkeeper Savannah Shores (Trappe, Md./Easton) recorded 10 saves for the Rams, while Meghan Hollar had nine saves for the Griffins.

Seton Hill had a 33-18 edge in shots and 22-19 advantage in ground balls. The Griffins had a 16-10 edge in draw controls.

Shepherd falls to 0-1, while Seton Hill improves to 2-0. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Millersville for a 1 p.m. contest.
