Shepherd Women's Lacrosse Downs Chestnut Hill

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Junior midfielder Erin Phelan (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) had four goals and four assists, while senior attacker Georgia Karr (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) added three goals and three assists to lead Shepherd University to a 20-9 win over Chestnut Hill College in women's lacrosse action at Ram Stadium on Sunday.

Junior attacker Hunter Morris (Severna Park, Md./Severn School) and senior attacker/midfielder Kelsey Eagan (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) each added two goals and an assist, while sophomore attacker Colleen Monaghan (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County) and freshman midfielder Courtney Matthews (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) each contributed a pair of goals.

Junior midfielder Theresa Lang (Severn, Md./Archbishop Spalding) had a goal and two assists, while sophomore midfielder Haley Price (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) added a goal and an assist.

Sophomore attacker Brooke Hunley (Monrovia, Md./Linganore), sophomore midfielder Courtney Schwiegerath (Frederick, Md./Oakdale), and sophomore attacker Kiana Miller (Hagerstown, Md./Boonsboro) each added single tallies for the Rams.

Rachel Perry had three goals to lead Chestnut Hill. Hunter Leckonby added a pair of goals for the Griffins.

Junior goalkeeper Savannah Shores (Trappe, Md./Easton) (7)  and senior netminder Lily Schmulowitz (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville) (2), and combined for nine saves for the Rams, while Katie Joe Lang recorded seven saves for the Griffins.

Shepherd had a 32-26 advantage in shots and a 32-29 edge in ground balls. The Rams had a 20-11 advantage in draw controls.

Shepherd improves to 4-2, while Chestnut Hill falls to 2-4. The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Tiffin for a 4 p.m. contest.
