Briana Vaden (Stockton, Calif./McNair/San Joaquin Delta College) added 25 points and a game-high seven assists to lead Shepherd University to a 100-91 win over Glenville State in quarterfinal action of the Mountain East Conference Women's Basketball Tournament at the Charleston Civic Center on Thursday.
Flinchum hit on 9-of-14 shots with a 8-of-9 effort from the foul line. Her 26 points were a season-high. Vaden connected on 6-of-13 field goals with a 2-of-5 effort from three-point range. She was 11-of-12 from the charity stripe. Her 25-point performance is a career-high effort.

Rachel Johnson (Frederick, Md./Frederick) added 17 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Senior guard
Alex Weakland (Camp Hill, Pa./Cumberland Valley) tossed in 11 points and had eight rebounds, while freshman guard
Morgan Arden (Hanover, Pa./Spring Grove) had seven points and six assists.
Keyanna Tate had game-highs of 30 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Pioneers. Katrina Salinas added 10 points.
Shepherd had a 51-43 lead at halftime with Flinchum (12) and Vaden (12) teaming for 24 first half points.
The Rams did not trail in the game and led by as many as 17 points at 71-54 after Arden drained a three-pointer with 13:47 left in the contest. Glenville State cut the lead to seven points at 94-87 after a layup by Tate with 1:57 left. Vaden connected on 4-of-4 free throws and Arden was 2-of-2 down the stretch for the Rams to secure the win.
Shepherd shot 49.8 percent (34-69) from the floor with a 63.6 percent effort (7-11) from three-point range for the game. The Rams shot 83.3 percent (25-30) from the charity stripe.
Glenville State connected on 42.3 percent (33-78) from the floor with a 34.4 percent (11-32) performance from beyond the arc. The Pioneers hit on 77.8 percent (14-18) of their free throws.
The Rams had a 43-41 advantage on the boards. The Rams forced 15 turnovers and committed 14.
Shepherd improves to 21-8, while Glenville State falls to 15-13. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they take on Notre Dame in tournament semifinal action at the Charleston Civic Center at 2:15 p.m.
