CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Shepherd University dropped a 5-4 decision to Concord in MEC Tournament quarterfinal action at the Schoenbaum Tennis Courts in Charleston on Friday.
The Rams got singles wins from senior
Steven Lesko (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore), senior
Steve Kolumban (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg), and junior
Lewis Charette (Ripon, Ga./Pike County).
Sophomore
Will Wheatley (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) and freshman
Austin Thomas (Charles Town, W.Va./Washington) teamed for a victory at number three doubles.
Shepherd falls to 8-15 overall. Concord advances to face top-seeded West Liberty in semifinal action of the MEC Tournament on Saturday.
