Box Score FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Senior midfielder Lexi Vondrak (Harrisonburg, Va./Harrisonburg) scored an unassisted goal at the 7:35 mark to lift Shepherd University  to a 1-0 win over Fairmont State University in Mountain East Conference women's soccer action at Fairmont on Thursday afternoon.

Shepherd improves to 2-1-2 overall, 1-1-2 in MEC action, while Fairmont State falls to 0-5-0, 0-4-0.

Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Campbell) and freshman goalkeeper Christi Labella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) each recorded a save as they combined for a shutout effort for the Rams, while Shawna Graham had eight saves for the Falcons.

Shepherd had a 14-8 advantage in shots while Fairmont State had a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host West Liberty for a 2:30 p.m. contest.
