Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Robert Furfaro scored a pair of goals to lead Shippensburg to a 4-1 win over Shepherd University in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday afternoon.
Shepherd drops to 1-5-0, while Shippensburg improves to 4-2-0.
Shippensburg took a 1-0 lead when Furfaro scored at the 9:07 mark on an assist from James Connor.
The Red Raiders took a 2-0 lead when Joey Gallucci found the back of the net on an assist from Justin Blumberg at the 50:20 mark.
Furfaro added his second tally on a feed from Connor at the 80:13 mark to give the Red Raiders a 3-0 lead.
Sophomore forward
Jeff Kammerer (Woodstock, Md./Marriotts Ridge) scored on a feed from freshman defender
Kyle Martin (Frederick, Md./Oakdale) at the 82:32 mark to make it 3-1.
Connor completed the scoring with an unassisted goal at the 89:27 mark.
Sophomore
Dmitre Snowdy (Waldorf, Md./North Point) recorded nine saves in goal for the Rams. Matt Harder had three saves for the Red Raiders.
Shippensburg had a 26-10 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Monday when they host Chowan for a 3 p.m. contest..
