Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Freshman midfielder Abby Hoffman (Gardners, Pa./Bermudian Springs) scored on an assist from freshman forward Samantha Leonard (Conowingo, Md./Perryville/Wingate) at the 55:32 mark to lift Shepherd University to a 1-0 win over West Liberty in MEC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Sunday.

Shepherd improves to 3-1-2 overall, 2-1-2 in conference play, while West Liberty falls to 0-4-1, 0-3-1. The Rams run their unbeaten streak to four matches.

Freshman goalkeeper Christi Labella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) and redshirt-freshman netminder Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Campbell) (two saves) combined on a shutout effort for the Rams. Allie Warsaw had five saves for the Hilltoppers.

Shepherd had a 14-7 advantage in shots while West Liberty had a 3-2 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Shippensburg for a 6 p.m. match.
