Box Score 2 WHEELING, W.Va. – Shepherd University (5-7) dropped a pair of matches in volleyball action at the Wheeling Jesuit Tournament on Saturday. Seton Hill (9-2) gained a 25-15, 25-13, 25-22 win in an early match and Shippensburg (9-2) rallied for a 16-25, 17-25, 25-16, 25-18, 16-14 in a later match.
Senior outside hitter/libero
Samantha Scroggins (Plainfield Ill./Naperville North/Kishwaukee College) had 16 kills and six digs to lead the Rams against Seton Hill.
Freshman setter
Cyera Dixon (Rushville, Ohio/Fairfield Union) contributed 17 assists and sophomore libero/defensive specialist
Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) had 11 digs.
Cassie Hausfeld had 10 kills and seven digs to lead the Griffins.
Scroggins posted 18 kills and 14 digs and Senior outside hitter
Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) had 15 kills and 18 digs to lead the Rams against Shippensburg.
Dixon recorded 42 assists and Anderson topped the Rams with 16 digs.
Megan DeFloria had 12 kills while Megan Peluso had 20 digs and six aces for Shippensburg.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host Glenville State at 7 p.m. at the Butcher Center
