Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Tre Bonaparte scored a goal and assisted on another to help lead Chowan University to a 3-1 win over Shepherd University in men's soccer action at Shepherd on Monday afternoon.

Shepherd falls to 1-6-0, while Chowan improves to 4-1-1.

The Hawks took a 1-0 lead when Jason Bradbury scored on a feed from Bonaparte at the 23:02 mark.

Terell Williamson scored on a feed from Swann Vincent at the 27:10 mark to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead at the break.

Bonaparte scored on a header off an assist from Jamie McNicholas at the 47:25 mark for Chowan.

Shepherd scored on a goal by sophomore George Novakowski (Berryville, Va./Clarke County) on an assist off a free kick by freshman midfielder Justin Daniels (Huntingtown, Md./Huntingtown) at the 87:43 mark.

Sophomore netminder Dimtre Snowdy (Waldorf, Md./North Point) posted six saves in goal for the Rams, while Marco Lujan (1) and Carlos Ramirez (1) teamed for two saves for the Hawks.

Chowan had a 21-7 advantage in shots and an 11-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host West Virginia Wesleyan for a 1 p.m. match.
