Box Score SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University dropped a 2-0 decision to Shippensburg in non-conference women's soccer action at Shippensburg on Wednesday night.

Shepherd falls to 3-2-2 overall, while Shippensburg improves to 3-3-1.

The Raiders took a 1-0 lead into the break behind a penalty kick by Mallory Patterson at the 34:19 mark.
 
Ashley Weaver scored on an assist from Bailey Bzdak at the 51:13 mark to give Shippensburg an insurance goal.

Redshirt-freshman netminder Kelsey Rhoderick (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson/Campbell) (2) and freshman goalkeeper Christi LaBella (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) (3) combined for five saves for the Rams. Leah Roy had three saves for the Raiders.

Shippensburg had a 20-7 advantage in shots and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host West Virginia Wesleyan for a 3:30 p.m. match.
