Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Shepherd dropped a 3-1 decision to Winston-Salem State in volleyball action at the Spike Out Hunger Challenge at Winston-Salem State on Friday. Shepherd falls to 0-1, while Winston-Salem State improves to 1-0.

Taylor Allen (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) had 12 kills, six digs and three aces to lead the Rams. Senior outside hitter/opposite
Anna Roper (Chesapeake Beach, Md./Huntingtown) added six kills and freshman setter
Cyera Dixon (Rushville, Ohio/Fairfield Union) had 28 assists.
Sophomore libero/defensive specialist
Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) posted a match-high 17 digs.
Teynia Shepherd had 12 kills and four digs, while Sydney Holland added 10 kills and eight digs to lead Winston-Salem State. Jasmine Smith contributed 30 assists and 10 digs.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they face Chowan at 9 a.m. and Fayetteville State at 4 p.m.
