Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va.– Shepherd University dropped a 3-1 (25-22, 25-16, 12-25, 25-20) decision to Urbana in MEC volleyball action at the Butcher Center on Saturday.

Freshman outside hitter Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) had 11 kills and 11 digs to lead the Rams (7-10, 2-1 MEC).

Freshman outside hitters Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) added 10 kills, while sophomore middle blocker/right side Sophie Foster (Martinsburg, W.Va./Martinsburg) contributed nine kills and seven blocks.

Sophomore setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) (18) and freshman setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) (16) combined for 34 assists and junior libero Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, W.Va./Loudoun County) posted team-high 18 digs.

Mikaela Beck had 14 kills and 12 digs to lead Urbana (8-9, 2-2 MEC). Madison Davis added 11 kills.

The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Fairmont State for a 7 p.m. contest.
