Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. –Shepherd University dropped a 3-2 (26-24, 25-11, 15-25, 24-26, 15-12) decision to the University of Charleston in MEC volleyball action at Shepherd on Saturday.
Freshman outside hitter
Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) led the way for the Rams (8-14, 3-5 MEC) with a team-high 14 kills, while sophomore setter
Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) tallied a team-high 25 assists. Freshman setter
Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) dished out 21 assists.
Freshman outside hitter
Peyton Lindblad (Spotsylvania, Va./Riverbend) contributed 13 kills and junior outside hitter
Amanda Snowden (Hagerstown, Md./Smithsburg) added nine kills. Junior libero
Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, W.Va./Loudoun County) had a match-high 16 digs.
Carley Granger had 19 kills to lead the Golden Eagles (17-9, 7-1 MEC). Chloe Massaro provided 28 assists.
The Rams return to action on Friday when they host fourth-ranked Wheeling Jesuit for a 7 p.m. match.
