Shepherd Volleyball Falls to Fifth-Ranked Wheeling Jesuit

Box Score SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (8-15, 3-6 MEC) dropped a 3-0 decision to fifth-ranked Wheeling Jesuit (24-2, 10-0 MEC) on Friday night at the Butcher Center. The Cardinals earned a 25-17, 25-8, 25-12 win.

Freshman outside hitter Jaila Bell (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) led the Rams with a match-high 10 kills. Junior libero Kelsey Anderson (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) tied Wheeling Jesuit's Kayce Krucki with a match-high 11 digs.

Sophomore setter Becca Kern (Martinsburg, W.Va./Musselman) (11) and freshman setter Jessica Karcz (Westminster, Md./Westminster) (12) combined for 23 assists.

Haley Kindall led the Cardinals with nine kills, while Breanna Kramer, Sydney Obringer, and Katie Campbell each added eight. Andrea Thobe contributed a match-high 39 assists.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host West Liberty for a 4 p.m. match
